Bajaj Alts’ Maiden Real Estate Fund Raises ₹950 Crore in Initial Close

Mumbai, October 12, 2026: Bajaj Alternate Investment Management Limited (Bajaj Alts), the alternative investment arm of Bajaj Finserv Limited, has raised approximately ₹950 crore in the initial close of its maiden commercial office real estate fund, Bajaj Alts Real Estate – Growth Fund I.

The fund has secured commitments from leading family offices, institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). It aims to raise ₹2,000 crore, including a green shoe option, and has identified a strong pipeline of investment opportunities.

The initial close marks a significant milestone for Bajaj Alts as it expands its alternative investment platform, with the company attributing the investor response to its investment approach, institutional framework and the Bajaj Group’s legacy of trust and governance.

Lakshmi Iyer, Group President – Investments and Managing Director and CEO of Bajaj Alts, said the response to the maiden fund had reinforced investor confidence in the company’s strategy.

She said the fund would focus on disciplined capital deployment, backed by rigorous research, prudent risk management and strong governance, with the broader objective of creating sustainable long-term value for investors.

The fund will adopt an equity-led investment strategy, partnering with established real estate developers through joint ventures to develop Grade A commercial office assets in prime Indian markets. The approach seeks to combine developers’ execution capabilities and market access with institutional capital
