New Delhi, December 17, 2025:
State-owned power major NTPC Limited has announced the commercial commissioning of a part capacity of 243.66 MW from its 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat.
The capacity has been declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on December 17, 2025, according to a regulatory disclosure filed with stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The project is being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited, through its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited.
With the commissioning of this additional solar capacity, the total installed and commercial power generation capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 85,503 MW.
The Khavda solar project is part of NTPC’s broader strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio and support India’s clean energy transition. NTPC has been steadily scaling up its green energy capacity in line with national renewable energy targets.
Shares of NTPC are listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE: NTPC) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 532555).
