Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, successfully organized Equinox 2026, the 6th Annual International Conference, under the aegis of Vantage: Journal of Thematic Analysis. The conference was conducted by the Centre for Research, ACPG, and IQAC on the theme “One Health: A System Approach to Human, Animal, and Environmental Well-being.”
The two-day international event witnessed active participation from students, scholars, and academicians across institutions. A total of 68 students from the college participated, contributing to vibrant academic discussions. The conference featured 78 offline presentations, 60 online presentations, and 84 poster presentations, along with four technical sessions and two invited talks.
The valedictory session, held in the college’s Video Conferencing Room, marked the formal conclusion of the conference. Principal Prof. Haritma Chopra, in her address, highlighted the interconnectedness of mental, social, environmental, and geopolitical aspects of health. She emphasized the importance of research as a process of critical re-examination and encouraged students to pursue innovative and socially relevant work.
A short film showcasing highlights of the conference was screened, followed by a prize distribution ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions. Participants shared their enriching experiences and appreciated the platform for academic exchange and intellectual growth.
The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Convenor Prof. Brototi Roy, who expressed gratitude to all speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a success.
Equinox 2026 emerged as a significant academic initiative, reaffirming Maitreyi College’s commitment to interdisciplinary and inclusive research.
