Akasa Air’s Festive Bonanza
Akasa Air has unveiled a Diwali special offer providing up to 20% off on flight tickets with the voucher code ‘AKASA20’.
The airline is also offering:

Adding to the festive spirit, Akasa Air has introduced a “Diwali Special Meal” for pre-booked flights until October 31, featuring delicacies such as mini paneer parathas, paneer jalebi with basundi, and Amritsari chole.
IndiGo’s Festive Sale Ends Soon
IndiGo, India’s largest airline, is running its own Diwali airfare sale, valid until October 17. The scheme offers discounted fares on both one-way and round-trip bookings, applicable for travel within the next five months.
Travel experts suggest booking early as seat availability is filling rapidly, especially for popular domestic routes.
Qatar Airways’ Global Festive Fares
Joining the festive rush, Qatar Airways has also announced discounted fares across select international routes. Passengers can avail special prices on both Economy and Business Class bookings made during the Diwali week. The airline aims to attract India’s growing outbound travel segment during the festive season.
Air India Adds 166 Flights for Festive Demand
To handle the surge in travel, Air India and Air India Express have added 166 additional flights connecting Patna with major Indian cities between October 15 and November 3, 2025.
According to the airline, additional flights include:
- 38 extra flights between Delhi–Patna, Mumbai–Patna, and Bengaluru–Patna by Air India
- 26 extra flights on the same routes by Air India Express
This expansion aims to accommodate the heavy passenger rush for Diwali and Chhath Puja, two of the biggest festive seasons in North India.
Festive Travel Outlook
Industry experts expect domestic air travel to surpass pre-pandemic levels this Diwali, driven by rising disposable incomes, family reunions, and improved flight connectivity.
Online travel portals have reported up to a 40% jump in bookings compared to the same period last year.
