Festive Season Boost? Tata Capital and LG Electronics IPOs Likely in Early October

September 26, 2025 – The IPO market could see a Diwali dhamaka as two major offerings — Tata Capital and LG Electronics India — are expected to launch in the first week of October, according to reports.


Tata Capital IPO Details

  • Issue Size: Around ₹16,400 crore
  • Opening Date: Expected on October 6, 2025

    • Fresh issue of up to 21 crore equity shares
    • Offer for Sale (OFS) of 26.58 crore shares
  • Promoter Divestment:
    • Tata Sons to offload 23 crore shares
    • International Finance Corporation (IFC) to sell 3.58 crore shares

Purpose of the IPO

Funds raised will be used to strengthen Tier-I capital and support future lending growth. The listing is also expected to boost brand visibility and create a liquid public market for Tata Capital shares.

  • Opening Date: Expected between October 6–8, 2025
  • Promoter Divestment: LG Electronics Inc to sell around 10.18 crore shares via OFS

The company has already received SEBI’s approval after filing its updated Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) last month and is expected to file final papers shortly.

Lead Managers

Morgan Stanley India, Axis Capital, JP Morgan India, Citigroup Global Markets India, and BofA Securities India are lead managers, while KFin Technologies will serve as registrar.
